What is Hydrafacial?
Hydrafacial is a medical-grade skin resurfacing treatment. Achieving the results of an advanced facial in just 30 minutes. It’s soothing, refreshing, non-irritating, and immediately effective. In this blog post, we will delve into what is Hydrafacial and the process and treatment we offer here at Holmes of Beauty.
The Hydrafacial Process
After a thorough consultation about the Hydrafacial process, your therapist will start the treatment.
The first phase of the facial deeply cleanses the skin creating a bright, blemish-free complexion. It also creates a smoother, more permeable surface area onto which the serums are applied and absorbed into the skin.
Then we use the HydraFacial’s own vortex pressure technology and hydradermabrasion techniques to open up your pores and clean the dead skin using a serum of lactic acid, glucosamine and botanical extracts.
The third stage uses another tip which administers salicylic acid and glycolic acid to dissolve impurities like blackheads. Then using Vortex Extraction and another serum of salicylic acid and honey extract, the impurities are sucked out of the skin. This sounds scary but it’s a very simple procedure that gently removes sebum, dirt and other impurities, while the massaging sensation also improves lymphatic drainage and leads to incredible facial rejuvenation.
Finally, we add bespoke serums created just for you that contain ingredients like hyaluronic acid, powerful antioxidants and peptides. We can then use an LED light treatment to reduce redness and boost natural collagen and vitamin D.
Enjoy gentle exfoliation on your skin
During the hottest, brightest months, your skin can really suffer – from skin-clogging sunblock to excessive sweating, it goes through a lot. All of this is reason enough to regularly exfoliate our skin during summertime, however too much exfoliation can leave skin more sensitive to UV rays. The beauty of Hydrafacial is that it offers a perfect balance of gentle exfoliation to give your skin all the essential nutrients and goodness without damaging it in the long run.
